毛锎，1974年出生于湖南，国际知名的当代艺术家，现主要在洛杉矶生活与创作。作品涵盖雕塑、油画和版画，曾多次参加国内保利及瀚海等大型机构的拍卖会，广泛被中国、英国、意大利、美国等多国收藏。

创作主要以油画、雕塑为主，融合了简洁的线条、柔和的色彩和几何构图，探讨时间、空间与人性的多维关系。通过魔幻般的手法与梦幻般的色彩，展现了艺术家对超现实主义和内心世界的探索。作品融合了宁静与张力，细腻呈现了人类情感与自然的交融。

MaoKai，Born in 1974 in Hunan, is a globally recognized contemporary artist currently residing and working in Los Angeles. His artistic repertoire includes sculpture, oil painting, and printmaking. Mao has participated in numerous auctions organized by prominent institutions in China, such as Poly and Hanhai, and his works are widely collected in China, the UK, Italy, and the USA.

The artist’s creations, primarily oil paintings and sculptures, blend simple lines, soft colors, and geometric compositions to explore the multidimensional relationships between time, space, and human nature. Using magical techniques and dreamlike hues, the works reveal the artist’s exploration of surrealism and inner worlds. Through a unique harmony of tranquility and tension, each piece delicately portrays the fusion of human emotion with the natural world.

2017威尼斯双年展《高等动物》毛锎个展参展现场。由威尼斯双年展意大利馆策展人Grasso先生的邀请，在双年展官方空间亚美尼亚馆正式开展，展出近两年高等动物系列的油画及雕塑作品。

是一个拥有上百年历史的艺术节，是欧洲最重要的艺术活动之一。并与德国卡塞尔文献展、巴西圣保罗双年展并称为世界三大艺术展，并且其资历在三大展览中排行第一。被人喻为艺术界的嘉年华盛会。

威尼斯双年展在奇数年（如2013、2015）为艺术双年展，在偶数年（如2014、2016）为建筑双年展，展览一般分为国家馆与主题馆两部分。主要展览的是当代艺术和建筑艺术。威尼斯电影节是威尼斯双年展的一部分。

Venice Biennale - Mao Kai Solo Exhibition

2017 Venice Biennale, Higher Animals Solo Exhibition by Mao Kai

Invited by Mr. Grasso, curator of the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, Mao Kai’s solo exhibition Higher Animals was officially held at the Armenian Pavilion, an official Biennale space, showcasing oil paintings and sculptures from the past two years of the Higher Animals series.

(Note) The Venice Biennale (Italian: La Biennale di Venezia) is an art festival with a history spanning over a century and is one of the most important art events in Europe. It ranks first among the world's three major art exhibitions, alongside Documenta in Kassel, Germany, and the São Paulo Biennial in Brazil, and is often called the "carnival of the art world." The Venice Biennale alternates annually between the Art Biennale (odd-numbered years, e.g., 2013, 2015) and the Architecture Biennale (even-numbered years, e.g., 2014, 2016). The exhibition is divided into national pavilions and themed exhibitions, mainly featuring contemporary art and architecture. The Venice Film Festival is also a part of the Venice Biennale.
